We are so excited to moving over to a monthly prenatal and postnatal membership .

This is so exciting because we will be able to give you access to all of our classes live streamed / in person when allowed (or recorded to watch in your own time) , ‘physios clinic’ videos and fitness videos . As well as access to all this for the same price as just our classes you’ll be able to access a monthly women’s chill out session suitable for pregnancy or postnatal mums . We will also be expanding our range of classes available each week to include birthing yoga & birth preparation as well as a pre-recorded core restore series for our postnatal mums .

We will also have guest speakers each month on a variety of topics ranging from baby massage , acupressure , nutrition , baby and mother wellness .

All of this is available from the beginning of April on our online studio platform for just £38 per month ( worth well over £100 a month )

I know it’s been tricky to access support at the moment for your postnatal recovery and I’m delighted to be able to get into the clinic to see you in person .

The Mummy MOT is a comprehensive postnatal check of posture , breathing , abdominal muscles , scar tissue ( perineal and c-section ) and pelvic floor examination of indicated .

I have trained with some of the best pelvic health physios in the country and delighted to be able to offer this check to women in Norfolk .

It is an hour long assessment , where you are given a report in the day and a treatment plan to follow . I now also have various online programs to help you recover as well as follow up appointments if needed .

Wow I’ve just been looking through old photos of

Wow I’ve just been looking through old photos of my pregnancy with Teddy. This photo was taken when I was 34 weeks pregnant 🤰 ( and just about to turn 40 years old !! Ahah yes you’d never have guessed would you 😉

So anyway, I feel like I’ve been in hibernation since Sept 2019 😆😆 I’d only just got to a point where I could get out and about easily with a 3 year old and a baby when lockdown hit .. and well now that’s nearly a year ago .

This time has been pretty intense so say the least 🤣 .

It also been incredibly transformational , our business has adapted, changed and grown .

We are now so excited to be moving to an incredible new platform to offer the ‘well fit mumma studio’ we’ll be explaining more in the next few days / weeks so watch out for info and discount codes !!

Until then .. anyone else in need a of a night out ?? I’m SOO ready ahahaaa

Happy hypopressives hug to you all on the gorgeous snowy day ! We can get through this lockdown ladies , I know it’s hard ( believe me with two tiny boys to look after and run a business 🤪) I know !

Anyway ladies , now might be the perfect time to dedicate some time to self care and get your pelvic issues sorted .

In hypopressives we use various different arm position and different postures to allow the diaphragm and in turn the pelvic floor to relax and lift across the whole of the muscles . It also means you get a great stretch to the fascia which can relieve aches and pain and also improve posture .

Different postures allow different areas of the pelvic floor to lift , for example hands and knees will target more of the back passage and help rectocele and the lovely open arms position will help give space for the ribs to open and the diaphragm to relax .

People have been asking so what does the hypopressives program involve ?

So as a pelvic health physio I coach you 1-1 and make sure that we use postures that target your specific issues . Plus I always give you way more than just hypopressives, with over 13 years physio experience I can’t help it !!

All of this will help your core recover your body gently get stronger without straining things and help realign after 9 months of baby and your posture / muscle strength changing .

Learning to breathe in a way that doesn’t create

Learning to breathe in a way that doesn’t create too much pressure into the abdominals and onto the pelvic floor is hugely important in preventing and helping to recover from issues such as diastasis , prolapse and hernias . The breath also makes a huge difference in simply recovering from having a baby and activating your core in a way that helps support your back , pelvis and spine .

The ideal breath for abdominal and pelvic floor healing Involves a strong diaphragm that activates well , has space to lift and descend ( so the ribs well aligned rather than flaring to the front ) , the ribs moving in a bucket handle motion - so as you breathe in / out to the side and as you exhale coming back in ( this bit is sometimes tricky after having a baby ) , it involves starting the exhale from the lower tummy - so it gently draws in on the exhale rather than pushing out and bearing down .
